“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42
Covenant Communities
What are Covenant Communities?
These are smaller gatherings of the church that typically meet in homes the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, either in the morning or evening. The goal of these communities is to create time and space for our church to fellowship, worship, learn, and grow in a way that allows for greater depth, participation, and discipleship.
Why do this instead of a worship service?
We love when we gather all together to worship, but we believe that we need to also commit to gathering as a church in smaller groups to truly experience what it means to be part of the body of Christ and to move toward Jesus together. The Worship Gatherings and Covenant Communities are both are vital in achieving our mission of moving toward Jesus together, becoming like him in how we engage our community and world.
What do kids do?
Kids are always welcome at our Covenant Communities. We encourage youth 6th grade and up to join us for the entirety of our time together. Younger children are also more than welcome to join in our discussions and prayer and other elements, but also have the opportunity to play together while the adults continue to meet.
